Blue Bunch Farm was created in 2017 with a big shift in priorities. Moving from the big city of Kelowna to the arid country side of Savona was a big change. It was humbling - learning how to pound posts by hand, dig up a garden with a pitchfork and learning how to use farm equipment.

The most inspiring part of country living is the sense of community. If you don’t know how to do something or need help, a friend or neighbour will show up and teach you how to solve the problem. We also found this sense of community when we started baking bread for the Kamloops Regional Farmers Market. We started with just a few loaves baked in our home kitchen, and the crusty sourdough loaves received a warm welcome.

Fast forwarding to 2022 we had expanded to numerous Farmers Markets, built a big Studio kitchen on the farm, survived numerus summers of wildfires, and a pandemic. These years of growth brought with them another shift in perspective. Living by the river and being close to nature taught us that our own health, and the health of our planet is what is most important.

Our heart in mind we invite you to join us! Take a break from your normal day to day, and experience a little piece of country. Focus for a few hours on learning something new, and something old.

Looking forward to hosting you on the Farm. Cheers, Monika
